The present invention relates to a city type classification method using a shape of a city and an energy consumption pattern, which inputs a shape figure of one of a plurality of blocks of a city composed of two-dimensional vectors and shape figures of a plurality of buildings included in a block, derives a plurality of city types by measuring a plurality of factors to identify energy consumption patterns of the plurality of buildings and the blocks by using the shape figures of the plurality of buildings, and displays a city type on the plurality of blocks of the city.
