The present invention relates to a stitching apparatus for a mat, which is capable of precisely feeding an edge member. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the stitching apparatus for a mat comprises: a support plate having the mat supported on an upper surface; a detection unit detecting the position of an edge of the mat; a transfer unit transferring the mat supported on the upper surface of the support plate; a stitching unit stitching the edge member along the edge of the mat transferred by the transfer unit; a feeding unit feeding the edge member released from an edge member reel to be stitched to the edge of the mat by the stitching unit; a guide unit guiding the edge member fed by the feeding unit to surround the edge of the mat; and a control unit determining the shape of the edge of the mat in accordance with the position of the edge of the mat detected by the detection unit, and controlling operation of the transfer unit and the stitching unit to perform stitching along the edge of the mat, to which the edge member is fed, while the mat is transferred. The guide unit guides the edge member to surround the edge of the mat while moving along the shape of the edge of the mat.
