The present invention relates to a method of preparing a basalt fiber-reinforced epoxy composite material reinforced with natural graphite flakes, which comprises the steps of: (1) mixing natural graphite flakes with an epoxy resin by using an organic solvent; (2) stabilizing the mixture produced in the step (1); (3) adding a curing agent to the mixture produced in the step (2); (4) stabilizing the mixture produced in the step (3) in a vacuum oven; and (5) impregnating basalt fibers with the mixture produced in the step (4), followed by curing. According to the present invention, it is possible to prepare a basalt fiber-reinforced epoxy composite material by introducing natural graphite flakes, thereby preparing a composite material having improved mechanical strength and thermal properties over that of existing basalt fiber-reinforced epoxy composite materials.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
