The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for monitoring a seismic motion and creating a seismic distribution map (shake map) in real time by using a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) network, in which a high-density seismic observation network is constructed by using a MEMS-based accelerometer so as to create the seismic distribution map (shake map) which is applicable to large cities. The apparatus for monitoring the seismic motion and creating the seismic distribution map (shake map) in real time by using the MEMS network includes: a MEMS-based accelerometer installed at a plurality of observation points to construct the MEMS network, and configured to monitor the seismic motion in real time; a reception device for receiving a seismic signal from the MEMS-based accelerometer in real time; a data sharing device for receiving the seismic signal through the reception device to share the received seismic signal; a central server for receiving the real-time seismic signal from the reception device to process the received real-time seismic signal so as to illustrate a waveform to monitor the signal, and transmitting P-wave information to the data sharing device; a seismic analysis device for determining a location, a magnitude, and an intensity of an earthquake by analyzing early warning parameters obtained from a site; and a shake map creation device for aggregating results of the observation points to create a real-time intensity distribution map.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
