The present invention relates to a method for separating carbon isotopes and a method for concentrating carbon isotopes using the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for separating carbon isotopes, including the steps of: cooling of formaldehyde gas to a temperature of 190 to 250 K; and photodegradation of the cooled formaldehyde gas to obtain a mixed gas containing hydrogen and carbon dioxide including carbon isotopes and residual formaldehyde, and to a method for concentrating carbon isotopes.
