The present invention relates to a composition for promoting the proliferation of mammary epithelial cells, comprising adiponectin as an effective component. According to the present invention, the composition includes a body substance as a raw material, thereby minimizing in-vivo toxicity and side effects compared to a chemical compound, and is capable of enhancing the proliferation of mammary epithelial cells through activation of protein expression in PI3K/AKT and MAPK signal transfer pathways and reduced expression of endoplasmic reticulum stress-inducing proteins, thereby being usefully applicable in various fields related to a pharmaceutical composition, a food composition, and a feed additive composition for increasing milk yields through improvement of a mammary gland function.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
