The biological containment container includes a structure composition and a container structure containing an enhancement composition associated with the structure composition. The enhancement composition includes a copolymer. The copolymer is poly(glycerol sebacate) or poly(glycerol sebacate urethane). The enhancing composition may also include a reinforcing agent associated with the copolymer. The enhancement composition is positioned against the rescue composition to favor the biological cells contained in the biological containment vessel. The composition comprises a copolymer and a reinforcing agent contained by the copolymer. A method of containing biological cells includes placing the biological cells in a reinforced biological containment vessel and storing them under predetermined conditions in the reinforced biological containment vessel.
