An object of the present invention is to provide a deNOx catalyst having improved nitrogen oxide reduction performance at medium and high temperatures by SO ₂ treatment and a method for producing the same. In addition, the present invention is to reduce nitrogen oxides and at the same time reduce carbon monoxide in exhaust gas generated from an internal combustion engine.
