Provided are an adaptive care system considering the characteristics of a dementia patient and an adaptive care method using the same, wherein the adaptive care system includes an information input unit, a basic service model generation unit, a service performing unit, a service performing assessment unit and an additional service model generation unit. The information input unit obtains information on the dementia patient. The basic service model generation unit generates a basic service model based on basic characteristics of the dementia patient recognized from the obtained information. The service performing unit provides the generated basic service model to the dementia patient. The service performing assessment unit assesses the provided service performing. The additional service model generation unit generates an additional service model based on additional characteristics of the dementia patient and the service performing assessment. On the other hand, the service performing unit adds the additional service model, generated by the additional service model generation unit, to the basic service model and provides the added service model to the dementia patient.
