THOMSON COIL ACTUATOR FOR HIGH-VOLTAGE DC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM CIRCUIT BREAKER HAVING BI-DIRECTIONAL BRAKING AND STOPPING FUNCTION BY LEAF SPRING AND HIGH-VOLTAGE DC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM CIRCUIT BREAKER HAVING SAME
THOMSON COIL ACTUATOR FOR HIGH-VOLTAGE DC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM CIRCUIT BREAKER HAVING BI-DIRECTIONAL BRAKING AND STOPPING FUNCTION BY LEAF SPRING AND HIGH-VOLTAGE DC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM CIRCUIT BREAKER HAVING SAME
The present invention relates to a Thomson coil actuator for a high-voltage DC transmission system circuit breaker and a high-voltage DC transmission system circuit breaker having the same, which have a bidirectional braking and stopping function by a leaf spring, thereby having a very simple configuration and increasing performance. The Thomson coil actuator comprises: a housing; first and second Thompson coils provided on front and rear ends of the housing with a spacing therebetween; the leaf spring installed between the first and second Thompson coils while the perimeter thereof is supported by the inner wall of the housing, having a tendency that when power is applied to the first Thompson coil, a central portion thereof is convexly deformed rearward by an electromagnetic repulsive force, and, as long as an external force is not applied thereto, the leaf spring maintains a state in which the central portion is convexly deformed rearward, and having a tendency that when power is applied to the second Thompson coil, the central portion is convexly deformed forward by an electromagnetic repulsive force, and, as long as an external force is not applied thereto, the leaf spring maintains a state in which the central portion is convexly deformed forward; and a retractable rod coupled to the central portion of the leaf spring, advancing when the central portion of the leaf spring is convexly deformed forward to close the contact point of the circuit breaker, allowing the current flow, and retracting when the central portion of the leaf spring is convexly deformed rearward to open the contact point of the circuit breaker, blocking the current flow.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
