VIDEO MONITORING SYSTEM CAPABLE OF POWER CONTROL OF STREETLIGHT USING MOTION DETECTING TECHNOLOGY

Disclosed is a video monitoring system capable of automatically controlling on/off of a streetlight by analysis of a video obtained by photographing a monitoring area if a pedestrian or a driver passes through the monitoring area. The video monitoring system capable of power control of a streetlight comprises: an IP camera to generate a monitoring video for a monitoring area, filter the monitoring video into a black-and-white video, and analyze and transmit the definition of the black-and-white video; a streetlight to provide the monitoring area with illumination; and a streetlight terminal which is connected to the IP camera and the streetlight, and compares the definition acquired from the IP camera with preset reference definition to control power supplied to the streetlight. According to the present invention, since streetlight on/off can be controlled for a monitoring area based on the definition of a monitoring video converted if a moving body such as a pedestrian or a vehicle enters the monitoring area, energy can be saved by preventing electric energy from being unnecessarily wasted.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
