Provided is a structural color material. An object of the present invention is to provide a structural color material including a photonic crystal structure of heterogeneous colloidal particles and an optical film using the same, which is able to control arrangement of particles between a crystal structure and an amorphous structure. The structural color material includes a photopolymerizable solvent, and a plurality of heterogeneous colloidal particles which have different diameters dispersed in the solvent and form a photonic crystal nanostructure.
