The claimed utility model relates to accessories for footwear and clothing and is intended to expand the arsenal of technical means when using clips and clamping devices for cord products. The lace retainer consists of a hollow tapered body and a slider that moves freely inside the body, which has sufficient clearance with the inside of the body for free tension of the lace when the lock is open, and a row of protruding transverse elastic plates inclined towards the tension of the lace, and two covers that fix lace and limiting the movement of the slider. The slider has a thinned part on the side of the restrictive cover and a number of elastic transverse plates with one-side attachment to the slider and a fixing cover on the other side. In the closed position of the latch plate, the lace is pressed against the inner surface of the body, acting on the principle of a lace ratchet, and the locking cap is pressed against the end of the body.
