FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to beam diagnostics, and can be used to predict the tumor thrombus size change in the inferior vena cava in intraoperative clamping of the renal artery in the patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma. Performing before operation or before compression of renal artery ultrasonic examination in B-mode and mode of duplex scanning. During the study, the degree of blood supply of the tumor thrombosis and its invasion into the vascular wall is determined. If observing the hypervascularisation of the tumor thrombosis and the absence of its invasion into the vascular wall, the thrombus size is predicted after the intraoperative clamping of the renal artery along the length of the inferior vena cava. In case of tumor clot hypovascularisation and presence of invasion in vascular wall, intraoperative clamping of renal artery is preceded by absence of thrombus size reduction along the length of inferior vena cava.;EFFECT: method provides predicting the tumor thrombosis size change in the intraoperative clamping of the renal artery in the patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma by ultrasonic criteria.;1 cl, 2 tbl, 2 ex
