Disclosed is a method of geochemical prediction, including determining a list of hydrocarbon compounds capable of migration, from a sample of hydrocarbon fluid of one of deposit deposits, determination according to the list of hydrocarbon compounds capable of migration, reference quantitative hydrocarbon composition of samples obtained during geochemical testing in the zone of established presence of hydrocarbon influx, determination of hydrocarbon compounds capable of migration, reference quantitative hydrocarbon composition of samples obtained during geochemical testing in the zone of established absence of hydrocarbon influx.
