The problem addressed by the invention is that of creating a cell connector that has better conductivity than nickel strips or HILUMIN strips and to create a favorable method for connecting an individual cell to the cell connector. For cylindrical cells (4), preferably a plate (1) that is copper-clad on one side or both sides and that has a flexible base material having a thickness of 0.8 mm to 1 mm and a cladding thickness of preferably 35 μm is used as the cell connector (1). The cell connectors (1) have through-holes (2), which are matched to the cells (4) and have a diameter of between 1 mm and 10 mm. A spot welding method is proposed as the preferred method. Nickel platelets (3) or HILUMIN platelets (3) are laid onto the through-holes (2) of the cell connectors (1), which platelets are of such a size that preferably four spot welds, offset to each other by 90 degrees, can be made. Subsequently, said cell connectors (1) are laid, by means of the side of the welded-on nickel platelets (3) or HILUMIN platelets (3), centrally onto the top side or the bottom side of the cells (4) in accordance with the desired electrical circuit in the storage battery pack and, via the through-holes (2) in the cell connector (1), the nickel platelets (3) or HILUMIN platelets (3) are spot welded to the desired cell (4).
