Baby monitors are usually used to hear noises occurring in the nursery and thereby to notice when the baby is awake and needs attention. It is also already known from the prior art to emit sound or light signals from the baby monitor when baby calls are detected in order to calm it down. For the parents, however, it is often not clear with what urgency they are called and what exactly needs to be done. The invention therefore provides for the baby's calls and other body signals to be analyzed and determined with the help of various signal transmitters such as microphones and sensors on the baby's body what kind of body signal it is in detail. As a function of this, a data signal is generated and sent to a mobile unit.
