A sensor device for measuring transpiration of a plant sample comprises a circuit board device, a first moisture sensor arranged on the circuit board device, a second moisture sensor arranged on the circuit board device and a first chamber delimitation structure for contact with the plant sample, the first chamber delimitation structure framing the first moisture sensor in such a way that, if the chamber delimiting structure is in contact with the plant sample, the first moisture sensor is arranged in a closed first air chamber delimited by the plant sample and the first chamber delimiting structure. The circuit board device or the first chamber delimitation structure has a first ventilation opening which connects the first air chamber to the environment in a fluidically conductive manner. The sensor device further comprises a second chamber delimitation structure which, together with the circuit board device, forms a closed second air chamber in which the second moisture sensor is accommodated, the circuit board device or the second chamber delimitation structure having a second ventilation opening which fluidly conducts the second air chamber with the environment and attachment means for attaching the plant sample to the first chamber delimitation structure.
