There is provided an imaging device effective for obtaining stable power supply when an interchangeable lens unit is attached. The imaging device is provided with a camera body to which an interchangeable lens unit can be attached, a communication unit, a control unit, a battery connector, and a display unit fitted. When the lens unit is attached to the camera body, the communication unit acquires lens information, with which a consumption current or a consumption voltage of the lens unit can be determined. Based on the lens information, the control unit acquires power consumption information that indicates a value of the consumption current or the consumption voltage. The battery connector connects a rechargeable battery to the camera body. The display unit is controlled by the control unit and displays information according to a level of remaining battery power. The control unit changes the level of the remaining battery power according to the power consumption information, and causes the display unit to display information indicative of the remaining battery power according to the level of the remaining battery power.
