System (1) for transporting food pellets, comprising:An endless magazine (2) with a majority of longitudinal reception rooms arranged parallel to each other and across the magazine's direction of circulation (7), each of which has a food spike positioned in such a way that one end area of the food spike protrudes laterally from the magazine (2);A group of grippers (3) with at least one grip element (11) positioned in a height position between a grip position and a storage position, capable of being grasped in the grip position of the lateral end area of the foodstuff tip (2);an endless conveyor belt (5) with a conveyor length variable by moving an extract (12); and-a control that is trained:To control the grip element (11) in such a way that in the grip position it grasps the lateral end area of the foodstuff, which is outstanding from the magazine (2),To proceed the gripper assembly (3) from the grip position to the repository position,To extend the conveyor belt length (5) by moving the extension (12) so that the conveyor belt (5) is positioned vertically below the gripper assembly (3),To solve the grip element (11) in the storage position, so that the food tip falls on the conveyor belt (5),To reduce the support length of the conveyor belt (5) by moving the extract (12) so that the conveyor belt (5) is no longer vertically positioned below the gripper assembly (3); andThe gripper assembly (3) is then moved from the bearing position to the gripping position.
