Device (10) for collecting soot and dust particles from exhaust gases on a chimney, comprising:a mounting bracket (12), which allows the device (10) to be connected to the chimney and essentially constitutes an extension thereof;a housing section (14), which has an opening at its top (16),-a nozzle opening upwards within the enclosure section (14), which is designed to release the exhaust gases into the interior of the enclosure section (14);one of the openings of the nozzle section (18) opposite the impact section (20); and-one on the side of the nozzle section (18) and below the opening of the nozzle collection section (22) of the housing section (14).
