A template (100) for adjusting the chain tension of a chain (300) on a rocker arm (200) of a two-wheeler, in particular a motorcycle, has: a head part (120) and a foot part (140) which are connected to one another by a connecting part (130) are connected, wherein the head part (120) has a chain support surface (121) and an upper abutment surface (122), and the chain support surface (121) and the upper abutment surface (122) define a predetermined head part height (123), and the foot part (140) a has lower abutment surface (141) which is opposite to the upper abutment surface (122) of the head part (120), wherein the upper abutment surface (122) of the head part (120) and the lower abutment surface (141) of the foot part (140) are spaced from each other that the template (100) on the rocker (200) can be moved up to an end position (266) at which the upper abutment surface (122) of the head part (120) hits a rocker top (201) of the rocker (200) and the lower abutment surface (141 ) of the foot part (140) abuts against an underside (202) of the rocker arm (200), wherein in the end position (266) a chain reference distance (366) of the chain (300) from the upper side of the arm (201) to the chain due to the head part height (123) (300) can be determined with which the chain tension can be adjusted.
