Rectification process compatible with an assembly according to a tightness of a value of less than 5.10-9 Pa on a two-piece assembly in screwed cast iron, making it possible to obtain 100% of manufactured parts corresponding to the desired level of tightness, and without the presence of additional seals, characterized by: - A first plane rectification operation, on each of the parts at the location of the faces to be assembled (a), with a flatness less than or equal to 0.01 mm on each of these faces, - A second operation on the same parts and on the opposite faces to those assembled (b), performed on a cylindrical grinding machine during a face dressing operation in order to achieve a flatness of 0.01 mm, with maximum roughness index from Ra 1.6.
