The invention relates to an olfactory device for the efficient, controlled and effortless assimilation of new knowledge during sleep. It is characterized in that it comprises olfactory cartridges of different odors (4), a first object (1) configured to allow a very localized diffusion of these odors for the person who carries said first object (1) and comprising a housing (2) configured to receive the olfactory cartridges of different odors (4), said first object (1) being able to be a bracelet, a ring or any other object incorporating said housing (2), and an additional object (8), called diffuser nocturnal, incorporating a housing (9) configured to receive said scent cartridges of different smells (4), said additional object (8) being configured to diffuse odors more widely in a room during a person's sleep. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the efficient, controlled and effortless assimilation of new knowledge during sleep by students, professionals and the elderly.
