Apparatus for generating soap bubbles comprises: a bubble liquid container 12 including an annular base portion providing a central opening 16; and a pair of walls upstanding from the annular base portion, in which the pair of walls comprises an inner wall 20 defining the central opening 16, and an outer wall 18 defining the outer surface of the container, and the annular base portion extends there between to define a bubble liquid channel. The apparatus further comprises a bubble forming loop including a hollow tube 24 with a pair of opposed ends 32,34; a handle connector portion 30 configured to be connectable to each of the pair of opposed ends such that a substantially circular shaped hoop is formed from the tube together with the connector portion, and a handle 40. The apparatus is particularly for generating giant bubbles around a user while the user stands within the central opening 16.
