A widener is provided for forcing spaced objects (7 figs. 3 & 4) away from each other, the widenener including: a base (1 fig. 1), a pushing assembly (2 fig. 1) for pushing the objects (7 figs. 3 & 4) and a driving assembly 4 for driving the pushing assembly (2 fig. 1). The base (1 fig. 1) includes an inner space 11, first and second passages 13, 14 (fig. 6) transverse to and in communication with one another, all defining a flowing space 6 filled with liquid. The pushing assembly 2 includes a first and second pushing boards 21, 22 connected with base (1 fig. 1) and with a linkage member 3. The linkage member 3 is movably inserted within the second passage (14 fig. 6). The driving assembly 4 includes a tube body 41, a driving member 42 and a driving block 45. The tube body 41 defines a driving space 411 in which the driving block 45 is movably received. An end of the tube body 41 is connected with the first passage 13 and the driving space 411 is communicated with the inner space 11. Driving member 42 screws into tube body 41 and moves driving block 45 within driving space 411 displacing liquid within inner space 11 and first and second passages 13, 14 (fig. 6) and moving linkage member 3 in order to move pushing boards 21, 22 away from one another.
