The present invention provides an assembly for preventing wires from being pulled as well as an illumination device. The present invention relates to the field of electrical component. The assembly for preventing wires from being pulled includes a housing, a wire body, and a pulling prevention component. The housing is provided with a first barrier component and a second barrier component. The first barrier component and the second barrier component are arranged at two opposite sides of a pulling prevention component, respectively. The first barrier component and the second barrier component define a first groove. The first barrier component and the second barrier component are configured to prevent the pulling prevention component from falling off from the first groove. One end of the wire body is arranged in the housing and the other end of the wire body is positioned outside the housing. The pulling prevention component sleeves around the wire body and is engaged in the first groove, so as to prevent the wire body from being pulled out from the housing. When the part of the wire body outside the housing is pulled, the first grove prevents the pulling prevention component from leaving the first groove; the pulling prevention component tightly sleeves around the wire body, so as to prevent the electrical connection of the wire body from being disconnected due to the pull, hence to prolong the service life of the electrical connection, lower manufacturing cost, and to ensure the electrical safety.
