The baler comprises a receptacle 22 comprising a base 24 and one or more walls extending from the base, a plunger (44, fig 4) moveable within the receptacle in a direction substantially orthogonal to the base, a support member 36, an arm 38 engageable with the plunger and coupled to the support member at a pivot 40, a biasing means 42 coupled between the arm and the support member, wherein the arm is rotatable about the pivot against a biasing force to engage with the plunger such that when the arm is engaged with the plunger, the arm urges the plunger towards the base under the influence of the biasing force. The plunger may comprise a compression member (46, fig 6) and a plunger shaft 48, the plunger shaft may comprise one or more engagement points 50 with which the arm may be engageable. The baler may comprise at least one pair of opposing apertures 28a formed in the one or more walls. Also claimed is a kit of parts.
