A filtration system upstream of a pump inlet is provided. The filtration system comprises: a first section (Figure 8A) having a first surface (112, Figure 8A) with a first array of fingers (114, Figure 8A) extending in a first direction (118, Figure 8A); and a second section (Figure 9A) mountable to the first section and having a second surface (122, Figure 9A) opposed to the first surface with a second array of fingers (124, Figure 9A) extending in a second direction (128, Figure 9A). Mounting the first section to the second section forms a fluid flow path 136 between the first and second surfaces. Mounting the second section to the first section results in the first array of fingers interdigitating with the second array of fingers, the spacing between interdigitated fingers 134 being narrower than the spacing between adjacent fingers of either of the arrays of fingers across the whole of the fluid flow path 136.
