A vehicle ventilation system has a first air outlet 133a and a second air outlet 133b that discharge respective first and second air jets into a passenger cabin of a vehicle. The first air jet projects through a gap 305 defined between a hub 301 and a rim 302 of a steering wheel, and the second air jet intercepts and deflects the first air jet. The outlets may be perpendicular and immediately adjacent one another and may be located on an underside of a steering column. A valve comprising a valve bore 512 and rotatable valve body 511 ideally regulates the proportion of airflow sent to each of the outlets, thereby controlling a trajectory 704 of the combined air flow within a vertical axis. The steering wheel hub may comprise a curved surface that the first air jet attaches to and follows, bending the first air jet upwards along a Coanda axis (802, figure 8).
