摘要

Disclosed in embodiments of the present invention are a method for download and installation of an application and a related product. The method comprises: an electronic apparatus receiving a command to download and install a target application; acquiring data usage information of a target data usage card in the electronic apparatus; recognizing a type of the target data usage card according to the data usage information; and if the target data usage card is an unlimited data usage card, directly downloading and installing the target application; or if the target data usage card is not an unlimited data usage card, switching to a Wi-Fi network, and downloading and installing the target application via the Wi-Fi network. In the invention, different schemes are used to directly download and install a target application depending on whether or not a target data usage card is an unlimited data usage card, thereby enhancing efficiency of an electronic apparatus to download and install an application.
