Said method comprises: when an electric vehicle is in an unlocked and motor control shielding state, detecting first predetermined information, the first predetermined information being used for indicating that a rider is sitting on the electric vehicle; controlling the electric vehicle to switch from the motor control shielding state to a motor control shielding release state; receiving a predetermined control signal in the motor control shielding release state; and controlling the motor of the electric vehicle to rotate at a rotating speed corresponding to the predetermined control signal. The control method solves the problems in the related art of complicated operations of an electric vehicle control method and a poor user experience.
