The present invention concerns a device for providing a subject with a sensation of vibration in the subject's body. The device comprises a support member having a support surface for supporting at least a part of the body of the subject. The support member is provided with at least one sound transducer for generating and transmitting waves through the support surface to the subject's body. The support member comprises between the at least one sound transducer and the support surface a layer of material adapted for absorbing physical vibrations while allowing the sound waves to pass there through to the subject's body.
