摘要

The invention relates to a method for estimating the air mass contained within the combustion chamber of a variable-timing heat-engine cylinder, which includes the steps of measuring the current position of the variable-timing actuators for each of the valves of the cylinder, predicting the time at which the exhaust valve closes (FE) and the times at which the intake valve opens and closes (OA, FA), in accordance with the current positions measured, and estimating the air mass (P masse air) estimated from the predicted times, in which, during the prediction step, the current position of each of said variable-timing actuators is corrected in accordance with the set position (Pos VTT cons sat filt) of each of the actuators.
