An iron comprises a housing, a heating body (4) and a plate (5) functional interposed between the heating body (4) and the housing, wherein the heating body (4) comprises an electrical resistance (40)provided at each of its ends of a connection terminal (40A), being characterized in that the two connection terminals constitute male plugs (40A) which are engaged in female connectors (7) carried bythe plate (5); the female connector (7) comprises an elastically deformable body comprising two contact blades extending longitudinally between a proximal end, at which the two blades are interconnected by a connecting arm, and a distal end where the two blades form between them an opening passage for the plug; and the plug is pinched between the two contact blades of the female connector (7).
