Examines UK law's response to "corruption by organised crime". Reviews the nature of such crime, the scope of the problem, the concepts of "corruption" and "organised crime", and the offences of inappropriate accessing of information, misconduct in public office and bribery. Discusses preventive measures directed at the spheres of public procurement and licensing, and notes the areas in which Scottish law takes a different approach.
