Going around again : modelling standing ovations with a flexible agent-based simulation framework.

摘要

We describe how we have used the CoSMoS process to trans-udform a computer simulation originally developed for the simulation ofudplant development for use in modelling aspects of audience behaviour.udAn existing agent-based simulator is re-factored to simulate a completelyuddierent type of agent in 2D space. This is possible and desirable becauseudthe original simulator was designed with the intention that it could eas-udily be use to model a variety of dierent agents interacting in 2D andud3D space. The resulting simulation will be used to simulate the phe-udnomena of standing ovations in audiences as a model system of tippingudpoint behaviour. Continued development of this simulator, assisted byudthe CoSMoS process, has resulted in a general purpose lightweight sim-udulation framework.
