Vers l'identification des enjeux liés aux « paysages ordinaires » des petites vallées du nord-ouest de la France : l'exemple de la vallée de la Seulles (Calvados). (Towards an identification of stakes related to 'ordinary landscapes ' in small valleys of Northwestern France : the case of the Seulles River valley, Calvados)

In Normandy, like in the northwest of France, valleys contain singular landscapes. Those are more and more considered as part of a collective heritage and those are in centre of planning questions. In order to measure their complexity and diversity, and to identify numerous pressures in which they are subjected, we propose a regional diagnosis of landscape of small valleys. This methodology is based on combination of two approaches : a morphologic one and a remote sensing one, introduced with the example of valley of the Seulles. This approach which can be generalized enables to characterize landscape organization at "tronçon " scale, to measure their diversity with the build of a typology and to identify main threats and stakes. A reflexion based on diagnosis results reveals the singularity of the valleys landscape, their particular functioning and the presence of numerous and specific threats linked in landscape valley functions.
