摘要

The life of shearing tool is usually determined by the degree of steady wear which increases as the number of operations increases. Especially in case of the punches with high slenderness ratio, the bending or breakage of the punches shortens the service life, and this fact hinders smooth operation. The fundamental research presented here was carried out to make clear the causes of bending and breakage of the slender punches in order to prolong the tool life. In this paper the author will report and discuss about the theoretical analyses and experiments concerning the several kinds of punch bending caused by the unbalance between shearing force and side force on both sides of the double shearing punch.
