Hydraulic fracturing techniques are increasingly being used to stimulateproduction from gas wells. The flow behavior of the fracturing fluid is one of the most important factor governing well performance. Therefore, it is essential to understand the rheology of the fracturing fluid slurries. The report is the first in a series of reports on the topic of the rheology of fracturing fluids and slurries. The report covers fundamental measurements, development of slurry rheology measuring instrument and implications for future research.
