Towards Computer-Supported Creative Design Based on Altshuller's Theory ofInventive Problem Solving

摘要

Altshuller's Algorithm of Inventive Problem Solving is discussed critically. Todetermine whether the algorithm is amenable to a computer implementation, a conceptual model of the algorithm is constructed. Part of the model is a knowledge structure in which the different knowledge sources that support the algorithm are integrated. This knowledge structure is intended as a basis for a joint research program on automated creative design between the University of Twente and the Inventive Machine Laboratory in Minsk.
