High-Nitrogen Austenitic Stainless Steel Manufacturing Technologies

摘要

The report concerns the manufacturing technologies of high nitrogen steels, bothin the production and laboratory scale. In the first, the available information is combined concerning the solution mechanisms of nitrogen in austenite and thermodynamics of high nitrogen austenitic steels, i.e., nitrogen solubility into steels, and kinetics of nitrogen alloying of austenitic stainless steels. In the following, different manufacturing technologies are also introduced.
