摘要

The three major objectives of the work are to: (1) investigate the geologic andpetrographic factors that produce reservoir compartments (flow units) and bounding elements (seals) in sandstone reservoirs on the basis of outcrop characterization studies; (2) show that such information can be used to construct realistic reservoir models, which can be used to test the effects of various infill drilling strategies; and (3) establish general principles for outcrop studies that can be used by other researchers.
