Finite-Element Method with Edge Elements for Modelling Electromagnetic WavePropagation Problems

The behavior of a finite-element method with edge-elements for modelingelectromagnetic wave propagation problems is investigated in this report. We use a two-demensional formulation. In particular, the possible advantage of the introduction of the divergence equation in weighted sense to the finite-element method was investigated. The behavior of our implementation of the method is illustrated by numerical results.
