摘要

This study was conducted by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to provide, through the use of a predictive validity research design, criterion-related validity evidence for the Administrative Careers With America (ACWA) examinations. This is one of two criterion-related validation studies for the Group 6 (Law Enforcement and Investigation occupations) ACWA examination using the predictive model. This report presents the prediction of training by the ACWA for the Immigration Inspector (GS-1816) occupation; the school predictive report presents the prediction of training by the ACWA for the Customs Inspector (Reilly, 1993). A previous study of ACWA for Group 3 and 4 occupations provided validation evidence using the concurrent model (Reilly, Nester, McGilvray, and Kelly, 1991), and two additional concurrent studies (Pollack and Paskey, 1993; Diane and MacLane, 1993) provide validation evidence on the Tax Technician and the Social Security Claims Examiner occupations, respectively.
