摘要

A national survey was undertaken in 1992 to investigate the changes that had occurred in gerontology, geriatrics, and aging studies (GGA) education during the seven years since the previous national survey of gerontology instruction. A sample of all compuses housing 'known GGA programs' and a random sample of campuses 'without known GGA programs' was compiled. Questionnaires were sent to 3,757 individuals on 2,010 campuses. Responses were received from 2,917 (81%) individuals on 1,410 (71%) campuses. Analyses were conducted at the campus-wide, organizational unit (e.g. departmental), and individual GGA program levels. Data from the 1985 national survey and this survey which began in 1992 made possible a trend analysis.
