Analysis of Transient Acoustic Wave-Fields in Media with Attenuation: An ApproachBased on Symbolic Manipulation

摘要

A method for the analysis of the space-time domain acoustic wavefield in ahomogeneous, isotropic medium with intricate loss behavior has been described. The main ingredients of this method are the Neumann series solution and the Cagniard-De Hoop method of inversion. Most steps have been performed analytically, using symbolic manipulation as a powerful tool.
