Microhabitat Selection and Behavior of Summer Rearing Juvenile Coho Salmon in the Mainstem Clearwater River, Washington

A number of studies have described the behavior and microhabitat of juvenile coho (Oncorhynchus kisutch) in small streams. In contrast, little is known about the microhabitat distribution and behavior of juvenile coho salmon in larger streams (4th order and larger). Significant differences in microhabitat distribution and behavior may occur as stream size increases.
