Juvenile Probation: the Workforce of the Juvenile Justice System. Juvenile Justice Bulletin

The survey was part of ongoing efforts by NCJJs Juvenile Probation Officer Initiative (JPOI) to address the needs of juvenile probation officers nationally through applied research, program development, technical assistance, and information dissemination. As part of JPOI, NCJJ compiled a data base of juvenile probation officers in every county in the country. This data base is used to select random samples for surveys, analyze information about probation departments, and disseminate information to the field.
