摘要

This 2-year effort was aimed at improving gerontological education at theUniversity of Hawaii (UH) at Manoa with a special emphasis on Asian and Pacific (API) populations. It had six objectives: (1) coordinate gerontology instruction programs across disciplines, (2) increase students' knowledge about Asian and Pacific Island (API) elders, (3) expand gerontology curricula, (4) offer faculty development opportunities, (5) provide assistance to students to encourage interest in training and career opportunities in aging, and (6) ensure continuity and availability of gerontology courses.
